The Automec ready made car specific brake pipe sets are manufactured from thickwall copper or copper nickel pipe for optimum strength with consistent malleable properties.
Each pipe is cut to the correct length, fitted with solid brass unions and marked clearly to indicate the correct location on the vehicle. Pipe fitting clips and brass in-line connectors are supplied where necessary.
The Automec brake pipe sets are developed to be application specific ensuring easier installation and come complete with pipe clips and brass fittings making the kits virtually corrosion proof. The kit range provides optimum braking performance and have been tested beyond 10,000psi, double the SAE pressure standard for brake hoses.
Kits are available in copper or copper nickel. Copper is more managable and easier to shape than copper nickel pipes. Copper nickel brake pipes has a burst pressure of 60% higher than that of copper and is also TUV approved. As both are corrosion resistant they do not deteriorate like steel pipes.
